a new start

actually i have a lot of thots which i wanted to share with people but i really don't know where to start. i have always thot that a new year will always be a new beginning for all things, a fresh start if you just had been through bad times at work, a relationship or just anything. you would always have new resolutions and hope to make them come true. but if we have set our mind on starting afresh at something, do we really need to wait till a new year to do all that?

i have started off this new year with many eventful happenings which i sometimes think do they really have a meaning to the year ahead of me. someone actually told me to have my fortune told so that i can know what is ahead. although i may be superstitious sometimes, going to pray at the temple, but i truly believe that many things are controlled by yourself. things would have been very different if you had chosen a different path in a particular day. if i have not chosen to go to deloitte, i may not have known many friends whom i can share my happiness and worries with. but of coz, fate also plays a part, as i didn't have a choice in getting into the other firms...hahah. so sometimes i'm confused as to whether everything is fated or do we really have a choice to do certain things.

But i believe that when there is a choice, i will definitely want to make my everyday a happy one, but why do i still feel sad on certain days? Why is it that when we go to a new environment/work place, we will slowly drift apart from the very good friends that we used to know no matter how often we said we will meet up after we go our separate ways? This has happened after we leave pri sch, sec sch, jc, uni and our workplace, or does it only happen to me? so is a new start really so good after all? of coz i'm not saying that we should stay stagnant in one place but will the relationship still be so strong after moving on to a new environment with new people and things. i like to meet people and experience new things but i defintely wish that the old friendship will continue to stay strong.
