perils of shopping online

sometimes i really dunno what am i thinking. have been surfing the website for a long time and i was so tempted to buy this gucci wallet that i waited til the cutoff of my credit card bill before i made the purchase so that i can pay for the bill in the following month. the price was much cheaper than the retail price. it was abt 40% cheaper. what made me trust them was that they had a 30 days money back guarantee. so after waiting for a few days, i finally logged on to the website and made my expensive purchase which cost me $400.

i was really excited about getting the wallet and 2 days later, the wallet came. i opened it and feels that the wallet looks abit fake. i noticed that the side of the buckle flap had some stains and the card slots were of different shades. i was also perturbed by the gucci logo imprinted inside. it looks lop-sided and uneven. i quickly went to the gucci store the next day to compare the wallet. my fren reminded me that the thread is the most impt thing to note and i have seen that it seems a different color. or is it because of the lighting.

arghh...after all these "defects", i have decided to return the wallet. i immediately went home to request for a refund online. after filling in the online request form, i pressed the submit button. but to my horror, there was a technical error page popping up. i started to panic thinking if this return policy is a fake one. i tried sending email but it has also failed. i was thinking is my $400 going into the pockets of the sellers laughing their way to the bank. but later i realised there was problem with my connection. after a 2nd try, i managed to send my request successfully.

i kept requesting to return the wallet personally but they seem to keep insisting i send it back by courier. they seem so dubious to me. hmm...i better return the wallet and get my money back for peace of mind... after this incident, i really wouldn't dare to purchase high value item online again.
