the welfare battle
nervous about how to broach the subject on claiming my 2 days of compassionate leave. i braved myself to fight for my pathetic 2 days of compassionate leave which i was told it is only extended to the immediate family. but i would think grandparents are also part of my immediate family. there were no clear written rules as to when you can claim your compassionate leave. it is only communicated verbally. so i do not see why we can't be entitled to our pathetic welfare and be subject to silent suffering. it's time to retaliate against the slave drivers. i managed to get what i fought for. or maybe i should say, i thot i managed to get what i fought for.
tada...yup, the subject of the compassionate leave is finally brought up. but i was told i only have 1 day leave with compliments from the generous and gracious management and i should count myself lucky for that coz the others didnt even get a day in the past. what kind of welfare are we having here? do i even call that welfare? i didnt even complain that 2 days is too little, considering that most private co are giving staff 3 days of compassionate leave. and now they are giving me 1 day to grieve over someone who is dear to me.
i refused to accept it and was given the 2 days eventually because my case was accepted by the md previously. but this has again made me realised that the co is in no way thinking of their employees' welfare. i'm a disgruntled employee once again.
unhappy...unhappy..... =(
